The Arcadia Titans fell to the Central Bobcats 82-72 at home tonight. Despite many fouls throughout the game, the Titans were able to secure themselves a spot in the second round of the playoffs.
Fouls were called in just the first minute of play. Central fans and coaches were unhappy with many. They continued down the stretch and even led to a disqualification of Central senior point guard Dominic Rojas after he took five. When asked how the team kept it's composure during these fouls struggles, senior shooting guard John Fahrendorf said...
"I think we just have to stay focused and stay calm, everyone was getting riled up."
These fouls gave Arcadia the edge as the team made it just a one point game in the fourth quarter by sinking eight unanswered points. The Bobcats, however, didn't let this last for too long as they nailed one of many free throws throughout the night. Senior point guard John Mattingly found the basket numerous times to lead the Bobcats to victory.

It was a strong matchup for both teams as Arcadia didn't back down to Central's aggressive play and held the lead 12-10 early in the first quarter.
This victory will advance Central to the second round of the playoffs to face No. 5 O'Connor who defeated Tucson tonight in another tight matchup.
