Landon Hairston Makes ASU History

Queen Creek native and Casteel High School alum Landon Hairston has officially broken Arizona State’s single-season home run record with his 28th homer of the season.

The previous record was held by Mitch Jones back in 2000, and Hairston now finds himself in the ASU record books after a historic year at the plate.

Hairston has been one of the top hitters in college baseball this season, batting .421 with a 1.438 OPS, 20 doubles, and 28 home runs. Staying local and representing Arizona, he has developed into one of the biggest names in the college baseball world.

His season has also earned him Big 12 Player of the Year honors and a spot as a Golden Spikes Award semifinalist as he continues building a case as one of the best players in the country.
