Arizona State continues to produce elite talent, and sophomore outfielder Landon Hairston is proving to be one of the best in the country.
Hairston has earned the prestigious USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award Midseason honor, given annually to the top amateur baseball player in the nation. Through the first half of the season, the Arizona State Sun Devils baseball standout has been nothing short of dominant at the plate.
The sophomore is hitting an incredible .461 while crushing 18 home runs and driving in 51 RBIs. Even more impressive, Hairston is getting on base at a rate above 50 percent, showcasing not just power but elite plate discipline.
With numbers like these, Hairston has firmly placed himself in the national spotlight and continues to build a case as one of college baseball’s premier players.
