Position: Videographer Intern

Location: Phoenix, Arizona (NOTE: This role will be expected to travel to the east and west valley for game coverage.)

Job Type: Hybrid (NOTE: Applicant is expected to be at games in-person, edit on site or remotely.)

Bamboo Sports Media is an Arizona-based sports media company focused on covering high school athletics through photography, videography, journalism, live broadcasting, and social media storytelling. Founded by Jonathan Olden, Bamboo Sports Media has grown into one of Arizona’s emerging independent sports media outlets, producing content seen by thousands of athletes, families, schools, and fans across the state.
 

Our mission is to spotlight athletes, teams, and communities through high-quality creative media and storytelling. We cover sports throughout Arizona with a focus on delivering professional-level content for high school athletics, including game coverage, live broadcasts, interviews, feature stories, highlights, social media content, and championship event coverage.

Job Summary:

The Videography Intern at Bamboo Sports Media will assist with filming live sporting events, creating highlight content, and editing cinematic sports media for social platforms and digital coverage. Interns will work directly alongside the Bamboo Sports Media team covering Arizona high school athletics through creative video storytelling and live event production.

This role is designed for individuals passionate about sports videography and content creation who want hands-on experience filming fast-paced sporting events and producing engaging sports content.

Job Duties:

  • Film live sporting events and sideline content
     

  • Capture highlights, crowd reactions, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage
     

  • Assist with creating reels, hype videos, and short-form social media content
     

  • Edit video content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms
     

  • Work alongside photographers, journalists, and social media staff during events
     

  • Help organize and manage media files and footage
     

  • Follow Bamboo Sports Media branding and creative standards
     

  • Maintain professionalism while representing Bamboo Sports Media at events

Education/Requirements:

  • Current enrollment at a two-year or four-year college or university in Arizona as of Fall 2026
     

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in videography, sports media, or content creation
     

  • Must have access to camera equipment capable of filming live sporting events
     

  • Ability to work nights and weekends during sporting events
     

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
     

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines
     

  • Passion for sports videography and digital storytelling

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience filming live sports events
     

  • Experience editing video content using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
     

  • Understanding of cinematic sports storytelling and short-form content
     

  • Experience creating content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
     

  • Knowledge of camera settings, frame rates, and low-light shooting
     

  • Understanding of Arizona high school sports
     

  • Ability to quickly edit and deliver content during live events
